yep! all that time that I could have spent getting a steady-paying job, I'm spending it on my blog. Hopefully it'll take off and actually become profitable within the next year or so... :) right now I feel like I'm working multiple jobs (classes, research, blogging, modeling) all for free :(

I feel like those that have the loudest complaints about fashion bloggers (or bloggers in general) "selling out" are those that have never seriously attempted to own/maintain a blog themselves. I mean, compared to most fashion/style bloggers, I spend VERY little time on my blog and STILL I find myself spending at least 4 hours (on average) a day on the website... whether it's responding to blog-related emails/comments, photo editing, photo shooting, and typing up blog posts. This is of course not including the time I spend networking at local Fashion events and etc... which should technically be factored in as well since I learn invaluable fashion/social media info that benefit my blog. All this time and no compensation? Really? In the end, it's not really "selling out" as much as partially being compensated for my time/efforts on my blog... at probably not even minimum wage. Those that complain about us "selling out" probably never have had to deal with the email influxes or blog-related tasks we have to deal with and thus assume a much smaller time commitment? At least I hope that's their motive and not because they're jealous or believe no one should be paid for what they love to do....
