5 things I’ve learned about blogging: Style Waistland

Elia of Style Waistland
I only just started my personal style blog about a month ago. My inspiration to start a blog came from reading other fashion blogs and I thought, “That looks fun! I like clothes, photography, and blogging, so what do I have to lose?”

5 things I’ve learned about blogging:

  1. Blogging is a great way to connect with people who have similar interests. I’ve already made more new friends through my blog than I have in the entire four years that I’ve lived in Austin.
  2. Write about things that inspire you, otherwise you’ll be bored and it will feel forced.
  3. It’s okay not to post everyday! Even though it’s my goal to post daily I know that it will take time until I feel like doing it. Sometimes I just want to stay in my “scrubs” and that’s fine.
  4. Don’t be afraid of asking fellow bloggers for help. We are a part of a great community of bloggers who are more than happy to share their wealth of information. I’ve found out so much about photo editing, cameras, WordPress, etc, just by asking.
  5. Blogging takes up way more time than I ever imagined. Good thing I enjoy it and happen to have a lot of free time.
